ACHS Archives

ACHS on-site archives touch at least in some part on all the townships and populated areas. Indexing of the archives is an ongoing project. History books on our shelves cover Michigan and Arenac County and its towns. Whenever possible, we’ve linked the digital copy of our index to the associated document entry or description on this page. Our own publications and indexes as well as some local authors are available for purchase.

TIPS ON USING THE ARCHIVES PAGE: The archives list page is organized alphabetically by overarching locale–county, township, city/village or family.  The record name is listed as closely as possible to the original title of the record, book, document, index, etc. If there currently is nothing for a locale, check back for updates. We are undergoing an accessions system review.
